O.k this is just the port motor running. I didn't think to take video of the starboard after that line popped because the power steering pump is on that motor. You might have to click the pic or title to get the video to play.

That stupid power steering cylinder exploded on me as I was warming up the boat on the trailer getting ready to go out the first time. Looks like I'm about to be out a couple grand for a new set. I'm glad it happened on the trailer though.

Well at least I know everything from the deck to the stern will have been refurbished when I do get it in the water.

Are your swivel pins frozen on the drives? I've never seen all those steering components fail one after another just from age. But anything is possible

They are working fine. it's just that the boat sat for so long and everything froze. I'm not sure who makes the cylinders but I do know they aren't in production any longer. I'm going to throw a new main seal on it because that's what blew and weld this thing shut. If it doesn't work I'm still going to have to fork over $2K+ for a new PS set up. IF it works it works. If not, then my wallet gets thinner.

That is the old Mercury Hydraulic steering you have on there. They are not in production any more. You may find some used ones around but they are hard to come by. good luck

The previous owner was correct, this boat is amazing on gas....has hardly used any all summer

Seriously, I too would like to see some video of it running again. Hope is all well, and you stopped posting because you have been too busy boating!

AS long as the cylinders are not too corroded you should be able to take them to a local hydraulic repair shop and have them rebuilt.
