Hi Guys,
I live down here in Ft. Myers. I am looking at 3 brands of boat for my next one. Would love to get your input.
1. 29' Shot Gun Extreme
2. 30' Y2K Superboat
3. 28' Pantera Sport
Thanks for you help.

nice choices... wanna throw joker into the mix.

Extreme will have the tightest cockpit, and i'm thinking its a boat u gotta drive. But low 80s w/ 496ho...

Y2K probably most for your $. More modern styling.

Pantera's not normally a sitdown boat. But a great boat, not nearly as fast as the other 2.

i'm not sure dave would build an extreme w/ that power.
And a pantera would be slower w/ that than an extreme w/ a 496.
depends on the kind of boating you do.

I boat here in SW FL on the GOM and Intracoastal waterways. I boat with a group down here(Ft. Myers Offshore) and we do Fun runs about 1 a month. So I would like to be able to cruise at 60+ to keep up with the bigger boats.

So, what kind of boat am I looking for, ... a 30'er that will handle 6'ers, single drive, WOT in the mid 80's, and have "some" creature comforts in case I needed to sleep. lol
I guess that sounds like the ShotGun Extreme w/496?

And tell me more about the Joker. Or how to get ahold of them.

The Y2K does 68mph w/496 @ 375hp as advertised on website. (Estimating speed on Y2K w/496 @ 425hp at 72-74mph)
There must be some magic going on with the bottom of the hull on the Extreme to get an extra 10mph with only 50hp more.
I estimated that a Y2K with 650hp to be in the mid 80's.

I did call Extreme requesting more info.
I do like the idea of being 2 hours away from the Company.

Thanks again Stormrider

do a search on Joker Powerboats. If you looki in the classifieds, you can get more info.
You may also want to look at a 28saber, but like the pantera, its a bigger 28. I too like the idea of the builder being close by.
Good luck and keep us updated.

Thanks for the info Storm.
Well, 3 of the 4 boats are built within a 2-3 hour drive of my home. That leaves Superboat, the most boat for the $, a day away. lol I did find the Joker web site. Thanks again & updates will be coming.
