Here's a raw shot of the hatch opening. Notice the gutters that run around the paremeter. These will drain out under the rub rail so no water will be taken in the bilge. The cockpit can be ordered with a self bailing option where that water is kept out of the bilge also.

Dave...do you have any intentions of making a stand up model?

Indy - The 39 Pleasure is a stand up model. It has more freeboard than the 29. The 29 is a low profile boat for a lower CG and less wind drag. Dave
