I got exhaust holes drilled 4.5" hole saw and rigged up sanding cloth with hot glue on a 4.25" holesaw to spin on a drill to sand the inside of these. Started rebuilding the Mercruiser transom with all new bushings bearings seals and a stainless steel steering pin new trim senders and updated water cooling hose everything on it will be new. Also repainting all of this and the outdrive and new decals on the drive. Drive is only on it's second season and is a X mod stage II with a few more upgrades from all American drive.

thought I would post some update pics. working on reassemble of the mercruiser transom. Used Super Glass Daves jig to redrill outdrive holes. glassed the exhaust holes sent boat to get glass fixed on the back and regel. Got outdrive painted at work. Now to tie the stringers and floor back in. I am going to clean fill in pits and make the bilge super smooth with 3M marine extreme filler. remove carpet and glue and clean sides of bilge and I am going to use Alwgrip epoxy paint on all of the back and transom and floor.

Stringer boards and floor boards cut, Made the floor angle just a tad down just a smidge to give me a little extra clearance for the exhaust hose to hook up without hitting the floorboard, unlike when the boat was built. Made weep holes for water if it would happen to ever get in the outside area and epoxied the holes. Need to finish sanding and fitting keyhole and glass in the key hole. Then onto getting carpet out of sides of hull and floor by bilge, cleanup and make the bilge all nice and smooth and get ready to epoxy paint the whole bilge and sides and inside transom area.

Finally got blower holes cut and epoxied transom cutout and all other holes that were drilled. Got a little warm weather where I could heat my shop and keep it at 65 degrees night and day for 3 days and put down two coats of Alwgrip Epoxy primer and 2 coats of Epoxy Insignia white Alwgrip finished last coat at 4:00 Am this morning before work.

I left the area for depth finder transducer bare, I will epoxy that down and paint around it after I get the transom rigged so I don't step on it and break it.
