There was a thread on this topic a few months ago, with very good measurements, but I can't find it now. Can anyone direct me to it?

Wow! That was it. I could have SWORE that I just read that in the past few months, and limited my search to that timeframe, but it seems to be two years old. Well, they say that memory is the second thing to go....

I don't know about measuring to place the seats. My boat has the bolsters mounted from the factory, and they are too far away. I am a smaller guy. Think about it, bolsters are mounted in an average position to try, try, and satisfy everyone. If I were you, I would set them down, sit in them, and position them where they work best for you. Not for the manufacturer. Bolt them puppies where they feel best, not where you are told they are best.

well, i'm probably considered average. I am 5' 9", 160# and I don't like the positioning of my bolsters. They could be about 1 1/2" closer to the wheel, and about 3" taller. Actually, 1 1/2" closer would make me about 3 inches taller. So, yeah, they need to be closer for me. You might want to do a dry run before you start drilling.
