Jim,
Our truck is a 1995, 454. I will take your advice on the muffler and air cleaner. I am sure the current air cleaner is stock. I will change the muffler, as soon as I get the darn engines rebuilt... That shouldn't be long from now... ( wishful thinking on my part ) It'll take me a month if I'm lucky.
I also want to pull off the all the hardware on the back of the boat, trim tabs, gimble housing etc.

Boy does that photograph bring back some memories. And am I ever glad that at this point it's a MEMORY.....

So you went with the Revolution system? Do you have to add a "riser/spacer" to have the exhaust line up with the stock holes in the transom. I had to have a custom set made up out of aluminum billet for mine. Cost me "700.00

Here's a shot of my EMI Thunder system....The tips are Stainless Marine with the internal "superflapper", NO FLAPPER NOISE.....

Outlaw,
I did go with the revolution Marine, thus far, I am very pleased. I did have to add a spacer between the riser and manifold. They supplied it. I have one of the entire units off the boat and on the floor. I will ask my son to take a picture of it and post here. I will take some more shots of the bilge.
We are ready to pull one engine out, and i hope it is going to be today....
