Nope, you're right Third. The old VDO gauges and the Kiekhaefer trim indicators are some hard to see with the dim red back light. If all goes as planned, I won't be looking at mine much longer. Could be sold this week!

I would replace those lights with an LED type of some sort........

You can get LEDs cheap at Radio Shack and a small resistor cheap to run them on 12v. You could wire up a set and then glue or tape them behind the letters and they will light them whatever color you want. I am doing blue in the trim and drive indicators to match the blue lighting in the Gaffrigs.
