Default Lost power to coil

My 311 port side motor has juice at the ignition switch but none at the coil or even before the harness connector at the motor. As much of the harness from the dash I can see looks good and nothing seems loose anywhere.
I am going to pull a new wire but it would be nice to know why or what happened to the origional.
Anybody have any ideas?

She was with me. But I never told her what the problem was. That's when SHE suggested new engines hence my 540s
Funniest part was when she asked if it would be faster and I told her the others were a total of 660 hp and the new ones about 600. Her reaction was "LESS" . My ansnwer was no...600 each
She should know me better that that

Checked the kill switch and she is dead. Little plunger is stuck in the "run" position but no juice will flow. Cut switch out and wired direct and got the juice.

Tried to dig out the little plunger with a pick but just made my thumb bleed by stabbing it deeply.

So now the question is am I gonna find an exact replacement switch?

Thanks for the help guys!
