From that angle it looks like the port drive is counter rotating because it appears that the props are spining outward

Chuck, I'm glad you decided to go bigger! I think you will be happier in the long run with the right boat. I chose the 292 because it seemed to be the right size for trailering, launching etc. when I'm by myself. PLUS, at the time, it would fit into the garage!
That is a sharp looking boat in the pic. Looks great with the white rubrail update!
Good luck!

Thanks. Hopefully the deal on the 242LS will go through. I just sold my Porsche so that will free up some cash flow for the next purchase
. The car was nice but I didn't drive it much. It's hard to go drive fast in grid lock DC traffic...plus I was always worried about getting a ticket. As far as I know there's no speed limit on the Chesapeake Bay...only limitation is my budget.

I have a guy who seems serious in buying my 292. I'm becoming reluctant to sell it because it drives perfect and I've owned it sooo long that I feel like I know it so well, rather than buying another bigger boat I know nothing about. I also fear that it could take several months to find the right boat and that would stink! I remember it took me a year to find my current 292 after I sold my 242!
As far as the traffic in DC goes, that's one big reason we got outa there! There is nothing like ringing in the New Year in your pool, and then boating on New Year's day!

I have asked about three people if i would gain any speed going to a counter set-up and was told 1-2 mph gain if that
Car Biz, What are you turning now for speeds? I had an 87 272sr1 with Counter rotating props and the best i saw was 63 on speedo, And we all know what that means prob 59-60 gps.

Just had to share this auction. That's a really bad shirt.
