Upholstery was nice inside and out, some of which looked like it was recently replaced. I'm sure the owner has a ton of $$$ in the motors, drives, paint and other restoration work. But I think I'd rather find a well maintained original boat.

Re: New plan. Bigger Formula
I've narrowed my search to either a 292 or 311 and it looks I'll need to increase my budget a bit. My wife would prefer an enclosed head rather than a portapot...so I think the idea of a 272 is out.

no other 311 will run that for that kind of money. |
Re: New plan. Bigger Formula
This one went quick for $25K... I'd prefer a 292 if we decide to go with a sportboat over a SS or PC but this seemed like a good deal.
I called the guy today and he seemed disappointed it went so quick...guess he should have asked for a higher price.... http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/8/2/84366282.htm YEAR 1989 MAKE FORMULA PRICE $24,900.00 LOCATION WILLIAMSBURG, VA DESCRIPTION 1989 FORMULA 99', 272 SR-1, Twin 454 Bravo 1's, Special Order Palm Beach Colors, new motors and outdrives in Freshwater use only, Includes '03 Nextrail triple axle aluminum trailer, RUNS PERFECT! $24,900.... http://images.traderonline.com/EMedi...0523895602.jpg |
Re: New plan. Bigger Formula
I'm pretty sure a guy I know bought that boat. I saw him Sat on the river and he told me Monday (yesterday) he was going to Williamsburg to look at a 272 that was a little rough. I'll have to keep an eye out for him in the next few weeks......
