Ask Formula to supply you with a roll of the headliner material (Ultraleather) at cost. They were willing to provide me the material at cost (still pretty expensive but helped somewhat). They also suggested that I might use an alternative material used elsewhere in their cabin which was much less expensive (normal vinyl). I think it would look fine with the normal vinyl. I think it'd cost a grand labor to have it done. I went ahead and did this. Bit the bullet so to speak. Glad I did. Good luck.

Formula responded pretty quickly to my email. I do not know how much material I need. I guess I can figure that out when I take it apart.
Sorry about that. 54" is the width of roll. I other words how many yards do I need? -----Original Message----- From: Scott Smith [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, August 25, 2010 4:23 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: FW: Customer Service - headliner Randy, Part information is as follows: 9035 FABRIC U-L HP PLAT#5665 W/FOAM $ 123.58 per LY You will need to drop the center panels by taking the screws out of the lights. I believe side panels also require the hatch rings to be dropped. You may also have to drop the side valances in the main cabin. In order to do that, I believe there is a cross valance at the foot of the V-berth. If you are in the V-berth looking aft, you should see some finish washers and screws. You should be able to drop part of that valance and facilitate dropping V-berth panels, plus I believe that loosens the front end of the side valance for the main cabin, allowing you to pull it sideways to completely pull it out--it is secured with a stud at the front end which goes into the cabinet forward. Hope that helps. So a 2006 $300,000 boat under warrenty would not be covered for this headliner issue?????
OH man I am not liking this at all, I am VERY anal about my stuff and if I was bisting my butt to keep my boat nice and the headliner started to come down I would be ripped. Has anyone posted this thread in an email to Formula? |

Has anyone posted this thread in an email to Formula? I'm pretty confident that Formula would cover this under warranty for a 2006 if the boat has been maintained properly. I have not heard of any of the newer models having this headliner problem. |
Formula does not manage the warranty. For a 2006, your Formula Guard coverage is managed by Interstate. These guys are experts at finding any reason to deny a claim. I bought my 2006 this year with one year remaining. It was worthless. Every claim denied.

Ben Diss sorry to hear that it did not go well for you, I had a different experience and thus feel better about Formula and their warranty coverage but that was back about 5 years now so it may have changed.
