Kept mine simple. Painted rub rail and hatches white, dropped the silent thunder box for a clean transom, installed EMI Thunder aluminum exhaust systems with Stainless Marine superflapper tips.
Plus way too many coats of wax.....:drink: :D |
Re: Calling All Older Formula's
Formula Outlaw, 2 questions. One, did you sell your boat?
Two, what did you paint your rubrail with? I was thinking of changing the rubrail out in favor of white with stainless inserts. But, I heard that is a nightmare! |
Re: Calling All Older Formula's
Yeah , how'd you paint the rail?? I'd like mine to be white too and that sounds a whole lot easier then replacing :evilb:

Re: Calling All Older Formula's
He used Krylon Fusion paint. Works real good to. I'm doing the rub rail on my 357 with it. First time I have used it on a boat but I have used it on the plastic gas tank of my Tecate even spilled gas on it and its still there.

Re: Calling All Older Formula's
Don, I just read that whole thread about your 311! WOW! Nice job!
Killer TA, you removed your rubrail and prepped and painted it? I'm still trying to figure out how Outlaw did his. Someone said he used Krylon Fusion paint. Did he just tape it off and paint it or did he also remove the whole rubrail? Did he use a prep too? |
