New Exhaust Finally Working!
Finally, I was able to get the boat out for a run with the new Stainless Marine exhaust. Sounds much throatier and feels like I got the extra ponies they claim
I believe it's 10% which means approx 73 HP! Does that put me @ 401 HP a side?!
Even getting on plane seemed to require less effort!
The only bad news is that I wasn't able to air it out.
WAY too much traffic today and some big black rain clouds steered me up river which has speed zones.
BTW, I ran without thermostats to see if it made any difference with water flow etc and the engines seemed to run between 140 @ idle and up to maybe 155 on plane.
All in all, I'm excited!

t500hps, thanks for everything! Hopefully you were thinking about me as you were skipping along the waves in your new 382!
nocigarette, I'm not sure which one I have. I have twin 1990 454 Mags (365hp versions) w/Bravo's.

didn't splash it this weekend...changed the oil (5 hour ordeal I'd rather not talk about!), cleaned out the garage, washed the car/truck, cook out with boat buddies.
We leave Thursday for a 5 day trip cirling the Chesapeake bay so figured I'd get some other crap done this weekend.
BTW: motors good to 5,500/
4,400 rpms.....78 on GPS!!!!!
Can I interest you in buying these Prochargers when we pull them off this fall???

Congrats on the install. I was out all day and didn't see you. Where did you end up? We went to parrot key for lunch and then down to the Naples Pier. Never saw a rain drop. The gulf was great today! Well maybe I will see you out there next time.

t500hps, those prochargers are for EFI right? I'm still running carbs.
Maybe you could interest dgduck13! He's got a 382 with 502 MPI's. I'll put in a good word for ya!
Hey dgduck13, it seemed like the weather got a little crapping over south Cape Coral while we were running down river from the Yacht Club. So, rather than risk it, I turned back to Cape Harbour and as soon as I pulled in and got the first couple of snaps on the cockpit cover, it started raining! Oddly enough, it did look clear out towards Ft Myers Beach.
There's always next weekend!
Besides, I was batting 1000 getting the bugs worked out of this exhaust install!

I would like to do something like that, but right now I just don't have the money to play with the big boys....... So, for now I will just stay in the slow group!
