Default Relocating gear lube reservoirs on a 382

My '05 382 gear lube reservoirs were located on the transom and it was next to impossible to fill them. Formula sent me a couple of brackets and some hose to relocate them to the engine next to the coolant reservoirs. Finally got around to changing it. 3 hours later, a couple pints of blood and a few cuss words and she's done!

On my 02 they are back on the transom too...what a PITA! I wonder if the relo-brackets are the same on 500's and what they would cost???

I think all of the new boats are coming with them relocated as shown. The brackets were a piece of aluminum that had holes predrilled for the mounting screws and existing reservoir brackets. I would think if you called Formula they would be able to answer your question. The holes that the bracket mounted to were in the intake manifold. Once I got the old brackets off the transom it was a piece of cake.

Damn Kevin, no wonder you didn't answer the phone yesterday when I called ... probably stuck in the bilge.

I could have stopped by to help you, buddy.
