Your gonna be just out of my price range. Also my slip is 28' long. I can have something stick out a little bit but that may be pushing it.

Now its time to start the search for its replacement. I was pretty dead set on another Cat but the wife wants a deck boat so we compromised on a performance V in the 30-35' range. (although if I find a smoking deal on a 30' Eliminator Cat she may in for a surprise )
as far as V's go Ive decieded on either a Formula 303 or 312 or a Scarab 33 avs in the 1998-2002 range. Must haves are twin 502's and under $80K other than that Im open

Are there many 502 mag equiped 303 's or 312's out there? are there any differences in the hulls on the fastechs?
What realistic speeds with a 312 see with 502's? (GPS speeds not happy speedo)
Do they even make the 303 in the fastech's?

Anyone have one for sale?

Realistically, with prop work you will see 73 mph GPS all day long, I had mine reworked on my 312/w 502's and i see that consistently

Stangjeeper, I hate to say this but I have a 1998 Wellcraft 33AVS just traded with 415HP/502`s asking 86K but cash talks. Lot of options clean boat, What do you think?

I think its great except the 86K. definately not knocking the price but I need to be closer to 70K than 80K. If Im not mistaken that Scarab also has the molded seats in the back for 3 passengers.
Ive been checking your site from time to time.

Yea, It has the molded rear seat but boat is double sharp and is loaded with right stuff. You want to spend closer to 70K make me an offer lets talk!

Default Question

I have been looking at the 312 also and have seen the 1997's have the black console, while 98 and up have the white console. Is it a resale issue to have the black console and gauges? These look to be the same as in all prior year Formulas. Thanks.

Its all in what you want. Thats really the only thing that dates the boat. Back when I had my ole 93 271 SR-1 lots of people asked me if it was a 2003 due to its clean condition and once they saw the dash they could tell it was older. Ive seen many of the older boats that have painted the dash white and they look really good. Is it a resale issue? usually not just the older boats are just that Older and are a little harder to sell due to available finance rates and such.

Being a dealer I heard black dash-white dash more than a private seller and the white dash was more popular in resale. For what is worth.

33 AVS is a great performer. The boat never got anything but rave reviews for it's ride and performance.
