Armor All or some other protectant or cleaner riddled with silicones or bleaching agents.
The silicones left behind yellow over time
bleaching agents literally pull the white dye/pigment right out of the vinyl and plastic and leave what is the off-white base material behind...
seemy tag line to the left.
and leave my fee tucked in my dockbox

as a footnote...
UV is the most powerful bleaching agent there is
with that in mind following the bleached path...
now down south you'll see for example, a Formula that the UV has given the same yellow "nicko'teen'd" appearance to the rocker switch covers, wheel hub, speaker covers
those are pigment inducted plastics and are the weakest for holding the color
could be red, it would bleach out to pink of whatever
It's just that white when it gives up enough color becomes somewhat "transparent" and you see the off white base stock plastic
my vote is for some idiot went at that boat with a tub/tile/toilet/clorox clean-up whatever way too liberally and did irreversable damage.
I'd like to thank ACME products, the Roadrunner, and the academy

On to a maintenance note, who wants to take a stab at why the vinyl on this boat was so yellowed, it looked like the kind of discoloration you'd see with a white room someone had smoked in for a couple years. The other odd thing was the gauge panels, shifter panel, etc..., were the same .
What RIP said, he's worse than I am when it comes to caring for the white vynil. Trashed is trashed, unless they offer to change it all out you could never know for sure that it would stay, even if they cleaned it up to look acceptable.
On another note, you check out those boats I found for you? Don't really know where you want to be in terms of $$$$$$.00. I knew Erickson rang a bell, just wasn't sure that was where RIP's came from.

I gotta say though the panels being effected is kinda freekin' me out...
they are painted aluminum
musta been something pretty nasty to do that to the PAINT on ALUMINUM.
Christ, that boat needs a 10K interior redo
idiots......

Brown and stickey, like 5PM said. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a LONG time...If you compared it to the grab handles on the back of the bolsters, white (grab handles) and brown interior. We tried some cleaner on it and part of it came off, but not deep down in the grain. LOTS of spray 9 and Lots of sun....at best a maybe!!

Rip...good thought, but it didn't have that sooty look. Just real dirty. Lack of EVER cleaning maybe?
The boat is off their website and trader. The marina had "other" interested parties. Maybe someone who didn't see a problem.
