This has come up a few times in other threads, but I did not have pictures of my retrofit until now. Like most 382's up until a few years ago, mine came with a combination 13" TV/VCR that came apart after 5 years. I found a TV/DVD that had both audio and video outputs since I wanted to hook it up to my stereo and a remote monitor in the cockpit. It's a bit of an off-brand, but at $400, who knows?
I made a complete new 1/2" plexiglas panel, using the original one as a template, but cutting a hole that fit the new TV. Since the disc ejects out of the top, I hinged it along the bottom and built a stainless steel support to mount both the TV and a clearance panel for the latches and to make sure an ejected disc did not trap the unit shut. I'm happy with the results, and wound up with a whole new storage area, although I need to tidy up the wiring back there....

chuck,
The install looks great, nice job. Should be a plus when out this summer and putting back a few jello-shots. Are you thinking about going down to the Severn for the Blue Angels practice on the 22nd?

Treads - Can't make the Blue Angels (Hope that they are all recovering from the recent tragedy.)
88Formula223/Strip Poker - Thanks. Stainless is a real bear to work with, especially when you're trying to protect the pre-polished finish...
