I am planning to replace both my steering cable and tilt steering helm.

Does any body know the length of the steering cable in a 1990 242LS Formula? I roughly measured 180” so I am guessing I would need a 15-foot cable.

I have tilt steering. Has anyone changed theirs? I am looking for part # specifics. Does anyone know where I might buy this or does someone know anyone at Formula or elsewhere that I might talk to?

Call the Formula tech line. Those people are a MAJOR help...even to us "oldie" owners

Measure the colored plastic jacket and then add 2-1/2 feet,that is the cable length to buy.Example,if the plastic jacket is 12-1/2' you need a 15' cable.
