Default 04 292 problem help!

I have an 04 292 with 6.2's that's causing me some problems. When the water's rough, the warning alarm will beep twice then the starboard engine will die on me. It only does this in rough water and it never does it when I have a mechanic on board. Any ideas? Thanks-Nick

Can you provide more data? Are you running flat out, or idling? The more info you post the better your chances of getting some helpful suggestions...

When it happened the first time, we thought it might be some kind of electrical problem related to the TV that fell off because when we hooked the computer up to it it said there was an electrical surge of some kind. When I was in Havasu the fuel pump on the starboard side would not turn off. This is no longer happening. Don't really have much more info than this. We're going to hook the computer up this weekend while running the boat on the water. Maybe I'll have more info then. Thanks-Nick

A couple more things: This problem only occurs in rough water. The engine will die around 4500 to 5100 rpms. I'll start it back up and it will be fine. No, fuel, overheating, gear oil problems at all. Thanks-Nick

Look for a loose wire behind the ignition, I had a loose one, and when I'd hit some rough water or a large wake, it would quit, but it would start right back up.

We had a fuse wiggle out that would do that sometimes. Most likely that or a loose wire. Only about 4 miles of wire to check in each boat.

I'll check for loose wires. Hopefully it's the first 10th mile of wiring! -Nick
