Goes well with the crome throttles and trim indicators too. Blends together nicely. Smart move. It does change the whole overall appearance of the helm.

That looks great. I love the polished windshield frame with that wheel too. Wish that was an option on the 292.

After two years, the chrome started flaking off of the back of my Isotta wheel, so I went with this one from Flaming River:

The 382 I'm looking at has the Dino and I have thought about this before reading this thread. I would miss the bird in the center myself.

There are still wheels available from Dino for anyone that wants the original stock look rather than metal spoke design. I contacted Dino a while back and they took some time to respond, but it was worth it. I was able to get a beautiful white replacement for my 1999 353. It is exactly the same except the new wheel is wrapped in genuine leather rather than rubber. It was also reasonable $144 and came complete except for the center decal which I got from from Formula.

Do you need to install a different hub as well or does it just bolt right on?

I initially thought the hub had to be pulled but the bolt pattern is the same so as long as you don't mind keeping your original collar it's a 15 minute job. I reused the original hex head screws as they were longer than the new ones supplied.

Here is a pic from Dino, but you will need to imagine it w/o the Technik spoke cover. Without the cover it looks just like the stock wheel and accepts the round plug in the middle.
I personally prefer this design over the newer wheels which have less room on the top of the wheel between the spokes.
For some reason the newer design looks like it might make for a cumbersome grip if you are driving in big water.
