I am taking the boat to Formula for some warranty work.

Has anyone made the trip from Chicago to Decatur? I did a Mapquest, but their directions are not always the fastest. They have me on Route 30 for most of the east/west leg.

What is the best route for the trip with a trailer? The boat is a 26', so it is easy to trailer.

Catch Rt. 30 from 49 (Chesterton exit from where you are coming from) Then take Rt 30E to I-69S (Fort Wayne, IN) to 469 East to 27 South into Decatur. There's also another Rt where you take 224 that takes you almost to their back door, but the first one l showed is the most direct.
