I'd say around $100-$110k would be fair, if it's is nice as you say. Salt water?

Axa, I know the boat a little (it's kept 1/4 mile from our place on the river anyway). Probably occasional trips into salt but I'm sure primarily fresh. I think it will need to be below $100K. Upper 90's just seems so much less to a buyer. Breaking that 100K threshold will be tough.

Earlier this year I was looking at an anally maintained '02 w/496s, I'd have gone 118k at the time. This was a fresh water boat owned by a personal friend. Not sure what the hours were. This time of year people are lookin' for the deal, my .02, around 95-100k depending on condition.

If you look on the classified section here there is a '01 382 w/496HOs and a/c and i think a generator. They're asking $119k
The boat looks to be really clean. It also has very low hours.

Just another comparison ... I realize yours is newer and 353. but something to think about.

Good Luck !!!

Thanks for the responses. Our house is on fresh water so it gets run in salt once we get towards the bay, but always runs back in fresh before it gets put on boat lift.

I will be getting w/ him to see what he wants to do, he may want to wait closer to spring. Then comes the joy of talking to tire kickers & listening to the two infamous phrases "whats the lowest you will take" & "The bank will only give me ( insert ridiculous low price) will you take that"

If you go to this site you will see a fairly good comparison with regards to your dad's boat. This is a '03 with same options and low hours.

Thanks for the comps. It's hard to try & come up w/ a fair price where both parties walk away satisfied. It would be nice to get top dollar, but it doesn't always work that way. Thanks for the help & I will let you guys know when we put it on the market.

I would say a fair price is where both parties walk away thinking they left something on the table...but the deal gets done.
