Dave, If it helps any I have a 28' AT with the 350mag/MPI's and get great mileage. I would estimate top speed in a new 292 to be 70+/-. But based on the numbers posted earlier by the other 292 owner, I would think a 1.5 B1 with 24,25 or 26" pitch props might be a better choice. I think the 292 is a bit heavier than my AT, but w/step should equal out @ wot,(5000rpms).Good Luck
