400SS questions
#1
I am thinking about getting a 400SS
I went and looked at an 04 with 496's that was really nice. but are they big enough for that size boat?
I plan on leaving it in the water instead of getting a lift so i know that it will have to be bottom painted, is there anything else that will have to be done to it?
Is there anything that i need to be aware of that might be an issue on these boats?
I not looking for a speed boat since i still have the cig just something to cruise around yet be able to sleep on once in awhile.
Thanks

I've been looking inot the 400SS or 370SS alot lately......with 496's and bottom painted I figure the 400 will run 50, the 370 will be close to 55. Faster than a regular cruiser but not "fast"....just depends on what your looking for.

Where you gonna keep it? In Channel Islands? The 496 is closed cooling right? That would be nice.....I almost did that with my Seeker....except 3 motors x the closed cooling kit stopped me. I added a FW flush instead. Now.....wish I had done the closed cooling for my "keep for a year and sell project boat"!!!!!

I have never lived on the water before.
