Bob, You want to remember who takes care of Deb with the 8 & 12 year old Burbon when you visit.:drink: Otherwise she be stuck with that swill from the slurpie machine. So fess up here! I need the target number for the winter upgrade program. So far the only work being done is the paint work at Kolor Craft in the next couple weeks, do I really need to get out my tool box? I'm guessing if it was that good it would be up here. I'm going to buy stock in Jiffy Pop :food-smiley-007: . It's going to be another long winter of empty claims and endless bull chit. I was looking foreward to the "Sled Heads" having at it for a change. |

I don't think "your" too box will help...But Yes, someone needs to get "their" tool box out!
Some things I just like to keep to myself...Besides, I built my boat for me...not to beat you. You can twist that anyway you want, but that is the way it is. Be patient...You will still have time for spring upgrades. Although....so will I! :D You will never get back by my Formula with that Fountain you currently own...That I am sure of! Dave :food-smiley-007: Jiffy Pop :food-smiley-007:...................Upgraded from a "Buy" to a "Strong Buy". Methane Production Futures come to mind an investment possibility here as well. As far as tool boxes go, I never even took mine out all season. I must be on that Rippem low maintence program, only 20+ mph quicker. |

Hey Hot Stepper ,
Where do you recommend to ride ... the U.P. or L.P. which one is better ..... I will be coming from Rochester NY. Makes no difference to me .... have truck will travel so to speak ..... Is there a premium for a studded sled in Michigan .... some kind of exise tax or fee. I will round up a group of riders and see who would interested. Paging Rippem ........ ThirdBird ........ Axa? ........ Ragged? .... 5pm? ...... Let me know ..... Jeff Are you in? Week days are great in either area trails typically get groomed mon-tue and not to many riders. Cheryl and I have run just about every trial in the UP from the east to the west on the northern side and never had a bad day. week ends in the lower can get real busy and crazy at times - trails get wopped out and make it a long ride. Let us know if your headin our way I probably have trail maps for where ever your going and would be more than willing to join lead or follow:drink: As for studs, again all depends on the lady, we run paddles but have been stuck on hard pack wishing we had them. I have lots of links for conditions and they are pretty reliable if needed. Count us in Al & Cheryl |

Count us in Al & Cheryl As for studs, I'm a paddle guy too. Been running paddle tracks since the mid '90s on my Summits, then had an inch-and-a-halfer on my 700 Yami. My current sled has the stock 1" track. I know it's not enough for the torque of this thing but I'll run it this year and see how it goes. As for studs, I don't really believe in them. They're only needed on ice and plowed-down roads, neither of which I like to ride on. Trails need paddles. I've toasted untold numbers of "stud boys" on the trails in short blasts with my paddles. They just plain hook up. Paddles do bring the top end down a bit though. Maybe we can get something together this winter, Jeff and I will discuss it. |

Sounds like a definite place to try. Been to Canada a few times and Yellowstone once. The UP has got to be the next Mecca I visit.

I run a 1.25 paddle with 168 studs on my 136" track which is what is recommended for the horsepower I have. Jeff P.S. Dave, I am definitely interested in the road trip to the U.P. |
I just need a sled and a ride! I'm in. Between all of you sled "guys" and Jeff's 'Yota or Bird's 'Burban (Not Bourbon Pete), can I catch a ride? If so...count me in...all in!
