I probably should have played up the snow thing a bit for their news. But, even though it looked horrible on radar, it just really wasn't that bad. However, that was early Friday morning. Our ride home that afternoon was different story. Ride is usually 30 minutes, took us an hour and a half to battle through it. I could have given that little tooty-fruity a good interview a 6 pm Friday!!!!

She was a cutie!!

Everyone say bye to Axa. He's heading west to Idaho for some real-time snowmobiling. Wish I was going too. I was out there riding in '00, it was like nothing I'd ever seen before.

Axa hasn't ridden sleds since he was a youngin' so the combination of a spectacular Rocky Mountain riding venue and a brandy-new Polaris 800cc RMK (Rocky Mountain King - I love that model name) should just about blow his mind.

It'll be fun Axa, take lots of pictures and post 'em up here for the unindoctrinated to see. Just don't try to be Chris Burandt on your first time out!!!!

Oh, by the way, in typical Powell fashion, Axa will be sporting a brand new and complete Klim (read $$$$$) wardrobe including matching undergarments brokered through a deal with the other Klim-wearing dude - Gottwins. Myself, I wear whatever hodge podge of mismatching stuff I can find.

Hey Bird! Thanks for the send off. We are on our way to Newark NJ, and we fly out tomorrow early.

Just got a call and they upgraded my sled to an 800 RMK Dragon? Is that good?

Who woulda' thunk that. Maybe someone will get a Klim undergarment photo opp.
Would we really want to see that?

P.S. Bye Axa! Have a good time.

I expect so, but not being a dyed-in-the-blue Polaris guy, I'll have to invstigate. I've seen all this Polaris Dragon stuff but I don't know what the actual differences are. But, I'm on it, be right back!!!

Well, nice upgrade Dude!!! Lots of special light-weight goodies on that rig. Total weight only 477lbs, that's feather light for a 155" long tracker. 154 ponies!!!! That's impressive, my 900 is only 150hp and it weighs more than that aircraft carrier you'll be on!!! You've got special air shocks, titanium goodies, lightened suspension rails and 2.4" paddles. Dude,,,, that thing is a beast!!!!!! Be careful, it's not a beginner's sleigh!!!!

First trail update from Axa, today at noon:

Cruised last night, went 2 miles, climbed a slope, rolled the sled!!! Atta boy Axa, way to get your feet wet.

No injury, no damage. Nice and fluffy.

They're on thier way to West Yellowstone to Two Top Mountain. Pretty cool place, looks over the village of West Yellowstone and some of the park.

Here's a shot of his temporary toy.
