Nope, I'm totally responsible for this one. It's an eye opener, let me tell ya.

I like to run, I like to run hard. But, I think my days of running that hard are over. Actually, I've been lucky several times. So, it's back to the 600 class where I don't feel like I have to try to race everyone. Of course, I know I can ram a 600 into a tree just like a 900, but it's the psychological part of it. No more chest-thumping for me.

But, that hot rod was a rush while it lasted!!!!! Never had a harder pulling, faster excellerating machine than that!!!

As for leaving it to the young bucks, I always thought my "experience" was my edge. I can (could) run with the best of them. But, not so much any more. The way I feel right now, I can't even entertain the thought of racing along those trails anymore. I think it's been a life-altering episode!!

been there done that. big twins and the big triples. nothing pulled upstairs like the 8/900 Suzuki triples or the 809 type Rotax triple. Thay were a BLAST!

all around happiness for me has been found on 110-120 HP 600 you dont have to be carrying big vehicle speed to have fun with the powerband.

Honestly my tricked out 75HP 550 Rev is ALOT of fun it'll run 77-78 on the trail everyday, I've seen 84 repeatedly on the road or ice. It's very consistent until it gets really warm out.
Low snow or rock hard conditions? Gotta take the shoulder for 10 miles? NO PROBLEM! No cooling issues.
That sled is all about ride and handling. It is so easy to ride hard because you don't get fatiqued hanging on to it and there is no fear of grabbing too much at the wrong time.

and it keeps your feet warm! Love floggin' the hair dryer!

That's where I want to be. Although it's fun to grab-and-go, the smallest misjudgement and you're in trouble.

I'm not really a fan of fans, but smaller CC's is definitely in my future.

Unreal. You would think that the docks would be looked at annually and repaired as needed. You know, a buget line item for the docks! This is the biggest parts of tourist activity. They are NUTZ if they don't fix it.

This has been hit on a couple times lately by the local news up here. In the TV interviews the "locals" claim they have a handle on it and it will be all "fixed" by spring. Personally I find it rather stupid that a community that depends on the river and all of us water rats for a living would let the only dock in town get this far gone. But then one only has to take a stroll down Main Street to see where things are going up there. If I treated all my real estate the same way I would be on welfare.
