So is the Fountain the race boat or the River toy? I saw your Cruisers on Rick's site and figured you were up to something. Plus the "going topless" comments. You going to be around the Bay next weekend for the boaters deal?

they are both gonna be river toys.the fountain is not the race boat and will most likely be sold before I put it in the water but is gonna be at my dock most likely.no offense but the smaller fountains dont make good race boats.they are coming from california and I should have them by the end of the month.believe it or not the fountain is a single engine and was radared at 109mph. Now thats sick! As far as the party up there.is bonnie and hutchinsons the same weekend?

If the Fountain is the slower of the two @ 109 then the fast one should be real interesting!
The HBW deal is this comming weekend with the open house party on saturday afternoon. Not positive on this, but far as I know Bonnie's is the same. Be there for sure on saturday, might go up on friday after work. Have reservations at the RiverEdge for both fri & sat night, might pass on fri, just waiting to see on who else will be there.

Im told that bonnie is the following weekend (that really sucks) so I will probably be going up then instead. The race boat will be set up to run 75-80 top speed,in this type of racing its all about acceleration and handling. Its capable of 114mph when set up for that.

Just a little update on my ride with Axa this past weekend. Haven't been able to post much, my laptop is in the shop.
We put on some pretty good miles, about 350 I think. Dave did very well, he kept himself nicely out of harms way while still booking along at a good clip. We hit some fairly heavy traffic but not as bad as I thought it might be.
Friday was a little tough with the wet snow on the shield all day. But, we had a good ride. Stayed at camp with some other friends, Dave's first exposure to camp life. We're sitting there, it's about 11:00 pm, Redfield groomer goes by. Obviously, we suited up and went back out on glass-smooth trails. Little John to Redfield and back. Nice!!
Saturday we rode all over the Hill. Went to Barnes Corners for fuel then bopped all the way across the Hill to Florance for lunch. Trails were kind of crappy but Dave dug it anyway. We rode the Wetstone Reservoir near Tabolt's Corners. Did a little wide open running. I gotta say, that little 700 Viper of Axa's will run. We had no GPS with us but his dream meter read 106. My speedo only goes to 100 and it was bent around to 0. Whatever speed it really was, we were hauling pretty good and Dave's Viper was right on my right-rear corner. Very impressive. However, the Viper is a boat anchor out of the hole.
It was pretty cold out Saturday, my hands were having trouble even with the warmers going full tilt. We hung at camp Saturday night. Did a little riding Sunday, mostly bushwhacking on back trails. Nice though.
All in all, we had fun and Dave did an excellent job on the Big Hill.

Sounds like you guys had a good time. The riding must be good now with this daily snow chit. We're even starting to build some up here, seems like a little everyday. Watching the news now and we're in for some more again. I'm just waiting on spring, green grass, and water you can't walk on myself.

So, is anyone going to the Bay this weekend for the HBW Boaters Weekend?

Thanks for all of the kind words!!
Thanks to Bird and the camp crew for the unreal hospitality. You were all very generous! Had a BLAST! Would do it again on a moments notice too. Bird and Tom (aka Dung Beetle and his son Jake) showed me around Friday. Real neat place that Tug Hill is! As for that 900 Big Bore (Bird's sled), That thing is a ROCKET out of the hole! I have to work on my suspension a little to try to improve my holeshot. Top end...wow, I was surprised that I was able to keep up with the big boys! It was a great time, and thank you. I hope I get asked to join in again!

Axa, talked to Jed last night. He was going to call you either last night or this morning. Get anything arranged?
Get the new trailer-topper home OK? You need to rig the inside up with lights, it's cool and makes loading so much easier.
Now that you're riding sleds, you need to blow off the socials at the Bay. No time for that nonsense, let's ride brotha!!!
