Page 5? A new low! Didn't even notice, been somewhat focused on other chit lately.
I do understand that there has been some discord within the Flocker camp over the winter months. Tales of discord and great disgust with many things great and small.
Oh well, WTF!!!
These days I find myself grateful to simply wake up every morning.
I'd do the tooner and shoot for trips.

are you serious?
and what's your meaning?
a tune would be low maintenence and usable in all respects that I need in that arena...
and not a ton of cash really as long as you keep it reasonable
thinking a 20' with a 70 for tubing ect. and to make ~23-24mph
and a few select options
opinions?
experiences?

Mark has taken on Bennington tooners and they are not a bad deal for a peson looking to get on the water with a bunch of folks for some good times. I have said for years there was a decent market for just that. They are basic, simple and can be configured to do many things reasonably well. Hard to argue with that!
Now throw trip Verados on one, could be a hoot!

I don't see a new pontoon happening...
that has been chased down
more $ than I want (or need) to spend to accomplish the mission
and the sacrifices in speed and rough water capability
my concern in the above regard is going places, and being able to get back relatively quickly if the need arises
oh well back to the original plan.
it's just that the needs are so wide
head
floorspace as a % of LOA
access to the swim platform (transom door would be ideal)
seating for 6
'glass floor/snap ins ideal
boats I know (Sea Ray) sample:
early 90's 225/240 BR (floorspace, head, seating) 10-12K for a nice one
89/90 220 CC (big open cockpit for it's size, head/small cabin, transom door, probably worst ride of the bunch here but most available also)
89/90 260CC (biggest cockpit, head/small cabin, ride)
87/88 250CC (big cockpit, head/small cabin, tank)
obviously the big BR with head is ideal, but they are hard to come by and still commanding some good $ when you can find one. I've seen a half dozen in the last 12 months of on/off searching. They were before the big BR took off.
a cabin would come in handy if the boat is big enough otherwise.

have considered the WA route also
easy cleanup
head/tiny cabin
usable, accessable forwrd deck
you can really use the whole boat even with a cabin
typically quite seaworthy
typically no platform
and seating is a problem

I've been a little under the weather lately, not very up on the news so to speak, more focused on getting out of bed the next morning, must have missed this one. So if the Flockers will not even welcome one of their own I guess I'll have to step up with a Boathouse Welcome. I had heard that we were getting new chitters, had no clue it was you.
Bringing Mike and Ken with you?
