I was wearing my work-place authorized (and procured ) mechanics gloves for safety. Hand injuries from sharp objects are one of the highest frequency injuries incurred in industry.

But, you're right, I didn't want to get dirty either.

And by the way, I know that's you submitting this Laurie, Mike is not nearly so eloquent.

That's how we northern rednecks swap an engine. By the way, Al, operating the log plucker, was as smooth as you can get. Al has obviously played with his machine extensively. Another "by the way", his truck is a way-nice Kenworth.

From what I hear, from a friend in the hardwood biz, a good Cherry log would be worth more than a normal big block these days. You gotta respect a man that's good at what he does.
