Have you thought about having your props balanced and blueprint? We use to do that and would pickup a few hundred rpm and the props pulled strong through the complete rpm range.

Julie at Throttle up can help tune the prop to plane easier. I would not even try a Maximus wuth these motors. I tried on with My 496 in my Fountain and the 496 did not have the torque to turn it properly. I took off the labbed 28 and ran stock 26's yesterday. Still a bit of bow rise, but my guess is it has to be better then the labbed 28's.
