Does any one know if formula used just silicon or 5200 as sealer on 2000 312's exhaust tips?

They used the 5200 I took mine off.

I assume it took heat to do so?

N0 I took the screws out took a floor jack and cut a 2x4 the right lenght, put 2x4 under exaust pipe jacked it up till it broke the seal,, I read about this on offshore only worked good still had to pry them out, but didn't burn the gel..
