'91 311 with trailer

2 Attachment(s)
$20k priced for quick sale, like this week. Clear title/reg for boat and trailer. Search my threads/posts to see just about everything I've done or dealt with. Survey welcomed and encouraged; Ed Cozzi is right in the neighborhood. Here's a link to my "offer" to John aka Fund Razor: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...6&postcount=69

Since then I experimented with a crank mounted raw water pump on the starboard engine. Went out Saturday and worked perfect. I can do the same for the port side or go back to OEM on the starboard. I'll be picking up a new blower switch, ST exhaust tip gaskets and rubber bumpers from Premier Performance (new Formula service center) in North Miami this week. I'll probably try and take the boat out this weekend to see the offshore races.

Great looking ride and for that price it should not last long. What is the weight of the 311?

Good luck I wish I was in the market,I know some people looking at 242 or 271 They should look at yours:D

got twins ? 04-07-2008 08:17 PM

Great Looking boat Michael ,

I will keep your boat in mind if I hear of someone asking where to find a nice 311 ....
Are you taking a break from boating or did you find something else?
Good luck with sale of your boat .... I hate to see a fellow 311 owner leave the pack of classics .....

Jeff

Thanks Jeff. An imperfect storm I suppose you could say. I've been looking at smaller boats to be more family friendly (311 doesn't ski/tube so well) for a while. Something came up this weekend that I need some cash and don't want to borrow. So what the heck, see if someone will steal it from me and I'll keep telling myself "it's just a boat...it's just a boat...it's just a boat"... :(

Lot of hours on the meters and a few other smaller issues and the market SUCKS for boats and that is what happens. Some one should snap this up. It is tempting for me but I really want to finish my 302, even if it is not for another 20 or so years!!!!:hitfan::hitfan:

handfulz28 04-09-2008 09:26 AM

Sam, Tim, good talking to you guys. Let me know.

"Priced for quick sale"
I could ask $30k, screw around for a while and end up somewhere around $25k and it would still be a great deal. But I'm offering an unbeatable value-a perfect running boat that's fine as is. Or a great platform to throw some TLC and investment at and still be a heck of a great value.

Finally for those that are wondering "why?". My stepdad shattered his hip. He'll be in traction for 10 weeks which means no work. None of us live in "Deanland" so I want some cash in the bank to be able to help my parents. If I can get a good work project in the next week or so, I won't sell it.

88242LS 04-09-2008 03:01 PM

yes it was great talking to you, me and the wife talked and decided to go for the 271, again the twins thing lol, I have to make up for last year so I'm planning on doing a ton of boating, I think twins would be bad lol, someone should really buy this, then again maybe not hopefully you can get some work, let us know how it works out
sam

masi242 04-09-2008 03:04 PM

88, I was wondering if you would read that:D. Yes the fill ups would hurt.

The boat is still hear?

Still at my storage lot. :D i think I'll make a video for Youtube this weekend and show everyone just how good it's running. That's probably what scares everyone is the "all original" hours and salt water. Maybe I'll put it on Ebay for $20k without engines.

wantsa311 04-09-2008 09:11 PM

I can understand not living in Deanland - lol. We tube off my 311 - pulls two at a time no problem all day long. My son has knee boarded behind it too. I plan to ski behind it this spring just to get some pictures and say I did it. It'll be like Ernest Borgnine and PT-109. :D

Hey ... Hell of a wake for the kids to jump over with their tunes and wake boards .......:D

jaybird 04-10-2008 12:52 PM

Mike - geez us with the 311's are taking a beating!! I miss my 311 already, so be careful selling it.... I may have to pick up a "hold-over" boat to use for a year or so.

At any rate good luck with the sale! I have seen this boat in person and it is very clean! 20k is a steal! Someone jump on it, or when I am back in Lauderdale next month I may have to buy it!!!!

handfulz28 04-10-2008 09:38 PM

Thanks Jay. How's things up there in cow land? Thawing out yet? As much as I want the liquidity right now, it's eating me up to lose it.
it's just a boat...it's just a boat...it's just a boat

wantsa311 04-16-2008 10:33 PM

TTT. This boat has gotta be worth more than 20K. OMG.

Things are good thanks. Looking at a friend's cruiser :greenchainsaw: , yeah I know , but the price is right and need more space than I had.

Hope the boat is sold soon for both our sakes, as I will be down for a visit next month and I may have to buy it at that price if someone hasn't yet ! :boat:

handfulz28 04-17-2008 08:42 AM

Thanks guys. I picked up my Formula parts so I'll be fixing up a few little things. Only big things to tackle will be passenger seat and transoms. I'll probably take a bunch of pictures and put it on ebay. I'm thinking I'll offer it with no power and put a reserve of $20k. That should alleviate anyone's fear of high hours and saltwater and they can put whatever they want back in.

Treads 04-24-2008 10:48 AM

Mike,

Any update on what your doing? Hope things are well for you.

handfulz28 04-24-2008 07:54 PM

Thanks. Still needing to sell, still figuring on Ebay to get the most exposure. Replaced the blower switch last weekend only to have the depth finder switch fall apart. But I figured out that the screw on terminals can be taken off and placed on new switches...so that will make a wholesale replacement of switches a lot easier.
I'm trying to get the motivation to start working on the swivel shafts. I just hate to get in there with nothing wrong, only to incur more issues. But it needs to be done.
I'll still sell it in on here for $20k as is. But when it goes to Ebay it will have a higher reserve and be listed as "no power".

I sent you a P.M. if you still have let me know my buddie just might be your buyer

Didn't leave a message on the 585, but you've got to clear some room on the 561. You've got my numbers in PM.
Thanks.

Hey Roger, thanks for stopping by yesterday. Good to meet and BS a bit. Sorry I couldn't stay longer, poor kids were the last ones at aftercare. I had to take them to Dairy Queen to keep myself out of the dog house.

Keep me posted on what you come across. Whether it's my boat or another one, I'd be happy to help out with any questions. You've got to come back when we have time to run it...the sound will have you hooked. :D
