Anyone installed a DVD player of some sort in their Fastech? I have a 353 and was thinking of putting in an overhead unit but am open to suggestions. I see a lot of off brands and was wondering if any of them are any good? I would also like to hear where you've installed these units. Pictures would be a bonus and I'd especially like to hear from fellow 353 owners. Thanks

I have the regular 13 inch VCR/TV in mine....I just use a portable DVD player the kids have and plug it in to the TV jacks.....Thought about doing what Cspray did but decided it wasn't worth the effort. (but will probably change my mind if I have nothing else to do this winter!!!)

I asked this question a year ago.... and just last week my good buddy that owns a Millwork Company finally built my cabinet for my 400SS.... In the next couple of days I should have my old TV/VHS unit out, install cabinet on slides and mount my new 15" Flat Screen and DVD player will be in the slide cabinet portion of it with a DVD rack for the movies....
I will post pictures after this weekend..

I installed a 19" w/built-in DVD LCD last year in my 353. I can shoot some pictures for you this weekend, or if you PM me your number, I'll call you and walk you thru the install.

Nice pics everyone. I know the 38 has plenty of room for a tv. I'm kind of stumped as to where I should put one in my 353. I'd like something that looks clean, won't take up too much space, and is functional. Dave I'll shoot you a PM.

Here are a couple. The black loom to the left is now held up with a piece of trim that came with the TV. It doesn't show in these shots! Call me if you have any questions on the installation!

Dave

Let's try it this way!!

In my 311 I mounted a LCD that has the built in DVD on the Starboard side at an angle just above the seat ...I made an angle bracket out of heavy SS. The Bracket is thru Bolted on the head wall and then angles back toward the side of the boat ...I'll get a cpl of pics ....m ...
