Speed question on 292 with 6.2's

Had my props cleaned up and balanced before this season. They probably came back a little smaller because there were a few nicks.Lost a couple of MPH on the top end but mid range and coming up on plane are better.
I know it would make it slower out of the hole but has anyone tried 30 pitch 4 blades.I think the 6.2s can still wind out with them will take a while but might pick up 3 or 4 on the top????

We all had a great time for the short 3 days we were there.
It was friggen hotter than hell but we founds ways to survive.
We stayed at the Ledges.
Are you going to the air and water show downtown this weekend?
We are planning on going on Sat as long as the weather holds out.

I am only getting 5K out of my 28's. There is no way I could turn 30's. These motors are supposed to turn 5200.

Hi FORMULTR, You pulled off the gas dock...
Yes that was me. Was bringing the boat back for a LOTO vacation.
It was a long drive but really worth the trip. Weather was great and the lake even better. Who knew that deep lakes could get that warm.

Yeah, I've been down to LOTO alot with my old Eliminator, but not with the 292, yet. And yes the water down there is so much nicer then the chain. You can actually go in that water and not come out with a disease. I've usually been there during the shoot out, but would like to try it at a different time of year.

Mentioned this before, but I think any gain I saw from the S/T removal was due to weight savings, not any improved exhuast flow.
Maybe you could spin labbed 30s for more top end, but I think planing and mid-range cruise would be lousy.
