Close to making a trade, boat has 325 hours, never an engine issue, but for good resale, top, bottom, and blowers probrably need a refreshening. He was quoted 10K for everything,is that in the ballpark? If we trade,I was thinking about offering the boat at X $ including a rebuild,or discount 10K for the boat as-is. Some buyers may want to take a chance and save 10K,or maybe they have a buddy that can do it for less.Again,no issues, but it is in the time frame for freshening. Am I approaching this the right way?

That is hard because what if they run into a snag or unexpected problem during refresh and costs go up? If I were a buyer I'd like to see the work done and add the 10k to the price before I bought. I know some here may want otherwise (ie do it themselves or custom rebuild) but I don't want the hassle to be honest. Plus if you modify it, most insurance companies say bye bye.
