I did it myself. The really pointy corners took a little longer to figure out, but it was not to bad. I would recomend an electric or phneumatic stapler. I still have a scab from what is left of the massive blister I recieved from that job. It finally stopped raining yesterday so I will post some pics of what they look like installed. Oh, and it was ony 20 bucks worth of vinyl. Good luck.

How did you get them off up front? Did you simply reach up under somehow and what did you use for a tool? I am trying to get a feel for how hard this will be? Thanks.

i did mine on a 85 272 wasnt bad at all no special tools remember to get stainless staples

I used a speed ratchet that is offset. You could use a ratched with a deep socket as well. The STBD side was much easier than the PORT side. I used my fenders to lay on so all of my body wieght was not on small presure point. I had a fender on the inside and on he outside. I used my Colman LED lantern for light. You have to remove the hand rails as well. Those are self explanitory. If you do it your self, pay closr attention as to how the original vinyl is cut to enable you to wrap it properly.

Thanks, and NO I DID NOT. Email is obviosly not his stron suite. I would not recomend that guy to anyone If I were you. Anyway, I ended up finding a guy localy that is off the map way out of the way. I got a tip from a local about this guy. He makes canvas tops and covers for boats. I gues he does a little interior as well. he actualy had the right color of blue. I was very lucky. I still need to get some more grey for the long skinny pieces that run for and aft. I will take some pics of what they look like installed today.
