What about the top speed? 2 x 330 Mercruiser 7.4 L..... the one that I found has only 160 hours....seems not bad at all, but I have to check at the broker that everything is ok....

I had a 1993 303 with 502 Mag, carbs (410hp) with labbed props and running right below the limiter, I would get 72 gps consistantly!

so around 65.... not bad at all! I'm guessing....it's the first time that I own a boat , so I would know what I have to do every year (maintenance) and the relative costs...
|
....what about the price? the Adv that I found says that the boat is from 1992 but registered in 1997, and it has 160 hours.....what do you think is a fair price?

Price depends on so many factors I won't try to even guess. If you compare it to boats for sale in the US, how does it compare? There are a few 303's for sale in the classifieds section. If the boat is nice, well equipped, and you like it, make an offer. It's hard to pay too much for a nice one, but it's easy to pay too much for junk. Make sure you have someone competent survey the boat, this will save you $$$$$ in the future! Best of luck! Do you have any pictures of the boat you are looking at? |

Maintenance on stock power combos is generally pretty strait forward. There is ton's of information on this forum and others when it comes to general upkeep. If you plan on doing the work yourself, you can save quite a bit of money. My winterization routine this year cost me about $250.00 to do everything myself. That included pulling both drives, changing all the fluids (Mobil 1 and merc gear lube), replacing 2 hoses that were showing some wear, new spark plugs, and some other general items. I have no idea what part costs and availability are in your part of the world, but I assume they would be readily available for 330HP mercruisers.

It will be easy to check the boat because I have a summer house in the same place that the boat is listed, so I will take a week end to go there and check it. |
The boat looks very nice. It seems expensive vs. US standards, there are some nice examples for sale here 20k USD less. There are certainly more for sale in this part of the world, though.
I assume it would be expensive to import a boat, so the freight and dutys might negate any cost savings, but it may be worth a look. |
3 day trips 2 guys one porta pottie? I do not think so. The 6 gallon head in my 382 needs to be pumped out daily with 3 people on board overnight.

Mine has a fitting back near the swim platform. 6 gallons in one day! wow... we honestly never really use ours except for emergencies anyway.
