Mine has a fitting back near the swim platform. 6 gallons in one day! wow... we honestly never really use ours except for emergencies anyway.

Maybe i's different around here... we just stand on the swim platform :p
|
NEVER over fill it. It backs up into the toilet. Picture blasting along with a full toilet. You can also picture yourself scooping it out and refilling the beer bottles. Of course you could let it slosh around and end up in your bilge where all the belts and pumps will turn it into a fine mist of uric acid spraying all over everything. So it's really more like 4 gallons. It doesn't take long to fill.
The swim platform works for me too but when you are rafted up the ladies frown on such ungentlemanly behavior. |
I've called the owner and I'm gonna see the boat in the next weeks....
I check some video about the 303 engine....but what about if I want more sound?! are there any aftermarket exhaust ? without spending a fortune of course... |

Just pull the silent thunder box under the platform... Takes about an hour to do, and gives you open exhaust. There are chrome tips that just plug into the back of the box. They do have internal flappers, but I put some rubber ones on just for safety. Sounds MUCH better :evilb:
So, it may sounds like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iQPgV28dJc ? I have only to remove the silent thunder box and that's all? I don't understand what you said about internal flappers but I will ask you for more if I will buy the boat : )) . It seems interesting anyway.....I'm not a pro in doing mechanical stuff so I will need a help from someone...not a problem I think. And what about a valve exhaust to use in open/close mode? I'm sure that my father will complain about the noise....he's more traditional than me! :lolhit: I've also considered the fact to change the power control to make it look more "fresh"......have you any website to suggest me? of course Livorsi comes first... |
I found this in another thread:
"I had my box off for a while. Got tired of the noise and complaints after a while, so I put the box back on, but removed the 4 plugs. There is plenty of room to add 4 more holes / plugs allowing more water to escape with plugs out, and improve the sound. I like this sound best. Louder than stock, quieter than wide open exhaust without the crackle. Smooth sound, but very deep and does not irritate my neighbors or when going into marinas in the evening." It seems a middle way from stock to open exhaust....so basically he made more holes in the box? or just removed the 4 plugs? Sorry for the question but sometimes my english doesn't fit very well with specific topic like this : ) |

Switchable mufflers would be expensive to install. Just try it with the silent thunder, they really do sound good, like a muscle car. It's a good rumble, but not overbearing. There is no performance increase with the box off vs on. Sound is a non-issue where we boat, so I don't worry about it much. As for controls, Livorsi is a good choice! |

Some people drill big holes in the bottom of the silent thunder box, like the kind you would use for access in a floor or bulkhead with a plug.

As for controls, Livorsi is a good choice! http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/a...echs-stbox.jpg So I have to drill holes (4 will be enought?) in the bottom of this and put something like this http://www.google.it/imgres?imgurl=h...1t:429,r:2,s:0 which I can remove when I want more sound. Is it right? How large it would be the holes to get a great sound? |
I think that something like this it will be perfect...4" will be enough ; ))
