I purchased a new skin from Formula. How do you remove the underside carpet backing to expose the staples? I do not see any screws or staples in the carpet?

The underside or your rear bench is carpeted? Mine had a thin piece of full size starboard screwed to it. I removed that piece and all the staples were right there. Maybe they glued the carpet down? If so, you might have to rip all the carpet off then cover it like mine was done.

The carpet was glued to the Starboard. The screws were hidden by the carpet. I finally got all the screws out.
