I tested my brand new Bravo1 24' ( if you messure a bravo 1 prop you will find out that it is aprox 1,5 pich less then it says. Mine was 22,5) this is how it preform :
Straight out of the whole, very quick ( have K Planes as well)
I hoped for 36mph at 3000 rpm ( low cruising speed) I needed 3400rpm to reach this :-/ prop seemd litle loose
I hoped for 46 mph at 4000 rpm ( high cruising speed) I needed 4200 rpm to reach this :-/ spinning a bit
Now the good part a very strong acceleration from 3500 to 5000 rpm :-) :-) ( still spinning, but real fun )
Top speed at 5500 rpm 65 mph ( 5 less then my goal)
At the Dyno test it was 560 hp at 5200 rpm
As I see it I have to options get my prop guy to cup my Bravo 1 24 to give a better grip, or go for a Bravo 1 26 pich. That means a 24,5 pich in my book
I would love feedback and comments :-)

i had a 2000 271 whippled 502, 630hp, xr drive 1.5 with a 26p bravo 1 that would touch 80 mph. Had to burn 93 octane.
Got rid of the whipple and built a 500 efi, dynoed 572 hp @ 5400. Same drive, same prop ran 70-72 @ 5100. With a 24p bravo 1 would run 74-75 @ 5400. Ran 89 octane. No problems.
Btw, i added imco steering, made all the difference in the world..
Sold the boat april 2010 the new owner loves it.
I now have a 1993 sr 336 and love it..

R Jake your numbers are more what I had expected, ypu had aprox 15 hp more and a Fastech. Should give you a maximum of 4-5 mph more. Here we are talking 9 - 10 mph faster ?
I also agree with BJ the top speed is not the most important thing, but even though I am not running top speed very often, I still have a goal to reach the highest speed I can. Without giving up the other more important quality of a Formula ride :-) :-)

What Happened this summer :
I continued testing props during the month of June, had some nice days even though the weather was so so
A couple of days before I was taking my holiday, I got my hands on a Bravo1 26 pich. Went out to test it but noticed that my
blue 502 was not in its mint condition. The Oil pressure and the oil seemed ok, but something was wrong
Lifted the engine out, send it to a local garage, and engine full of saltwater :-( My Hardin headers and reversion) was the reason
Most of trhe parts needed to be changed and cylinder boring etc.. What the f.... I lost my boat steam for some days then
Conclusion now more blue engine sold it to the garage as is, then I started looking for something else...
I ended up with a 496 HO 2009 only 106 hours and in mint condition...
Boat back in water 20 of July and I have had many nice boat rides since then, most important every thing works :-)
This is the result so far
1993 271 Bravo1 XR 2009 Mercruiser 496 HO 425 Hp bravo1 24 pich prop
Best i have seen on the Gps so far is :
Alone with less then 1/2 tank of gas 60 mph 5000 rpm
3100 rpm 34,5 mph
3600 rpm 40,5 mph
4000 rpm 46 mph
4 people and 1/2 tank of gas 58,5 mph
I am going to try a Mirage 25 + if I can spin 5000 rpm with that maybe I will reach 62 mph
I am very happy with the Bravo1 24 gives a good all over performance
