looking for a new boat

I am looking for a new, bigger, and faster boat. Must sell my 1989 206LS first but unsure what to get. I want 27' to 30', big single or twins, 1990 to 1996 model, and 70+mph. I have seen ads for the same boat with same engine package and three different people say three different speeds. They vary from 60mph to 70mph. I am sure they are all running different props but come on. What does Formula rate the speed for these boats? I called Formula about my 1989 206 and they rate it for 57mph. Guess what, that is exactly how fast it goes. I like factory setups regarding engines and drives but do not know speeds these boats are really getting. Thanks for any help.

I have a '99 271 Fastech with a HP500EFI and I run at or slightly above 70. I have hit as high as 73, but that was only once in 3 summers of running. All these speeds are on GPS.
My boat has the stepped hull that is supposed to be about 5-10% faster than the straight deep vee. So I would expect earlier 271's (27 footers) to run in the mid to upper 60's with similar power.
Hope this helps
