We're converting to dry exhaust on my 1999 353 and can't get the original silencer tips out. I've turned 2X4's into splinters but they won't budge. Is there any trick to this? I'd hate to ruin them by bashing with a sledge. Thanks!
If we do get them out, anyone looking for 2 sets?

I made a tool using threaded rod, nuts, and a few drilled through wooden boards. Make sure to pull as close to the side of the tube as possible, since this will help bending the pipe away.
If you place it in the center there will be a lot more stress to the transom before it gives in.
