Default 382 with Ilmor 725's/Indy drives

I spent some time with the Formula folks (Porter family) over the July 4th weekend. They told me that, after success of the Ilmor 400SS, they want to build a 382 with Ilmors, but they need to line up a customer first. Formula built three or four 382's with 700 NXT packages that ran in the mid-90's, so maybe the extra power and lighter weight will be enough to make this the first 100-mph Formula out of the factory if someone will step up to the plate. Anyone interested?

I'd do it in a heartbeat if I was ready to replace my 382.

Just curious, what would the projected selling price be of that built that way?

LIST price would be about $550k plus options. The Ilmor/Indy package is priced very close to the 700NXT. Given the discounts being offered these days, I would think that the boat would go for closer to $400k.

That's not awful, if one was to have the money. It would be one heck of a toy that's for sure. It would have to only come with the paint scheme you had done to yours tho! That is gorgeous.

That sounds like a great setup! I can't wait to see it. Ilmor has been great to work with, and we are real excited about building our first 37 with 725s/Indys.
