engine mounts for a 302
My 85 302 has fiberglass "boxes" that the engine mounts sit on, and are lag bolt into virtically. As the engines are out, and the lag bolt holes are stripped, I'd like to improve it.
1. Does anyone know how these boxes were constructed? If hollow, how thick are the walls and top?
2. Any suggestions for improving the mounts? With these boxes in the way, I don't see how to use brackets through-bolted to the stringers.
Thanks

Chart I considered doing mine as well. I changed my mind however and took the engine mounts and opened up the holes some so that I could fit a larger stainless lag in there. Then I put the lag in with 5200 and she is never going to come out of there
