382 Tips

97...All these 700 boats are running the same prop. I think I could break 100 with a new herring setup. My limiters start screaming at 96. But is it worth another $8K to make 100?

Just bought a new (to me) 382 with 700's and NXT drives. Just now getting used to how it drives. Still playing with drive/tab levels, etc. Any tips from 382 owners out there on proper drive/tab settings coming out of the hole, trim/tab levels for cruising and for top speed. Thanks for any advice.
I would love a ride on your 382. After driving a 525 setup I got the feeling that the boat was underpowered but I would like to ride the 700's to compare. I'm told that the size difference is more of what I was feeling than the power since my boats are 242's.
Can I meet up on a weekend to get a feel of 700's? I don't know anyone closer to me with them.

Thanks

I live in the Nashville area. Headed to Lake Cumberland this coming weekend. If you are nearby sometime, just send me a message and we can go for a ride.

I need to ride the 700's to determine which way I go on a purchase. I love the Fastech's all around but I also like the 400SS. Tough call since I can only buy one.

Congrats, I had a friend that was thinking about that boat, and I bought a 382 from Greg at Shogrens a couple of years ago. I had some motor issues after purchase and Scott was great to work with and helped out a lot to resolve it. Great place to buy and you will love that set up, wish I had it.
