I'm going to sell my Myco trailer that is setup for a 400SS
i just had it redone. everything from brakes/ wiring /lights/ bunks here is a pic from last year before it was redone. 24000 gvw Also the way it is setup i can leave the spot light and radar on and still be under 14' ( i do have to take the top of the radar off though) I havent had a chance to get over to storage unit to take pics but when i do it will be listed here. |

h20: nice setup. Good example of why a custom made trailer is better in the long or short run. Boat hull is well supported, boat rides low and the tongue weight is going to be correct since the trailer is purpose engineered for that exact model boat.
I have to say that the Eagle Custom trailer that my 260SS rides on makes all the difference when it comes to safe, enjoyable trailering. |
My thoughts on your trailer....Formula sez it weights in at 16k I have not seen one this light. Would look at 24k gvw to make it safe. Friend of mine has an 05 400SS on a gooseneck pulled by a 2010 Dodge 1-ton weighed it on his return trip to IL at LOTO scale it weighed 31,000 lbs loaded!!!!

You're gonna need a bigger truck, Matt! Good thing you know some people that know some people with duallys!
Unless you plan on emptying all the fuel and water tanks before you haul it out, you're going to want a 20k+ trailer. Not to mention you have quite a bit of heavy add-ons.. Theres a couple listed in this thread that would definitely be worth looking at. Especially the one at loto.. Try to get a steel trailer if you can, our roads around here make for a pretty dramatic ride with a flexy aluminum beam trailer.. Thats why auston traded off his beam trailer for the steel one he has now. |
