I saw that it could have gone a year ago at 50. Sounds like great leverage.

Replace all power, interior cabin work, gen, and update instrumentation and hang on for a great ride and a big party barge.

With this 419 I would power with minimum 700's NXT#6's for a solid ride with drives that would stay together. I could go 1100's for a good deal but to keep it simple and less expensive staggering would be out. The gains would not offset the price in my understanding. The engine cover would have to be modified to clear any high power from Merc like the 700's or up. I would not use a bravo behind this 419 or a 382 for that matter.

If we go 400SS it will only be with Volvo Penta drive system for the same reason of not breaking drives. We lean more toward the diesels in this application for the range. Over 350 miles is fabulous for some long range maritime fun.

speed - range - speed - range - speed - range - speed - range - speed - range - speed - range ????????????????????????????????

Looks like Vern's is for sale...

I think it's priced a bit out of the market, but it is a very nice example.

I wouldn't worry about bravo drives on a 400SS
i have almost 300 hrs on my 06 with 525's in that time i have broken one drive
We run in some big water here and the boat has been flawless. Now granted i don't fly the 400 like i do my Cig but it still moves and handles rough water great.
Plus when it's only 1 or 2 footers you can run at 60

But i doubt many people run is as rough water as we do here, so as long as you are smart on how you run the drives will last a long time,

502mpi's, I'm assuming a black dash with VDO's. Definitely over priced, especially compared to the red '99.

Anybody have an idea on production numbers for the Fastech 419's.
