Default Need help - 311 engine hatch cushion

Need a little help from 311/292 owners!! Getting the engine hatch front-most cushion recovered. This is the single section at the forward portion of the hatch that essentially forms the top of the back rest for the back seat. '89 311. I need to know if the '89 311 cushion section is the same as a 292 cushion.

McLeod can make me a skin but they only have the pattern for an '88-'89 292 and they are not sure if it's the same cushion as an '88-'89 311. I'm not sure either!

Does anyone know if the two models use the same cushion section?

It should be, from what I can see in the old brochure it looks the same. What are they charging you for the new skin? I was going to make mine but most that I've seen made pucker at he corners and look like crap. If the price was right I'd just have them make it instead.

Did that twice. Substandard results. Nobody does it like Formula and McLeod. Formula does all of their own upholstry now but in 1989, my boat's vintage, Formula interiors were done by McLeod.

Don't have a price yet. To be honest, I don't care what it costs. I want it done right! I've already spent tons on crappy jobs.

Gonna try calling the Formula tech line.

Dont let formula BS you,,they have all the patterns, its just not worth their time to help their customers..from what i hear its all on digital form for their cnc cutter..

Perhaps they do have the patterns but from what I know and from talking to McLeod, Formula wasn't making thier own interiors back in the '88-'89 time frame, McLeod was.
