Default Removing Fastech Graphics?

Hey everyone, new to the formula scene after having a Baja 232 for 4 years. Love the 271, lots more weight and better riding. Anyways what i do not like about the boat is the graphics! its the old splash graphics in teal/purple/white. The deck graphics seem to be wearing down as i can see the white underneath. The graphics on the side are raised a bit off the gel, would it be possible to sand them down without screwing up the Gel underneath or am i asking for trouble here? thanks!

I think it would be less work and cost to touch the graphics up. It is Imron paint usually. Most decals were pre-88. There are some small decals but usually not graphics.

I understand not liking them. There are some spots on my LS that either need touched up or taken off. It could be done but I haven't tried it. I think often about getting rid of all the black on mine but it might be easier to just paint over it.

yes you can wet sand it off and buff it but your going to see the graffix outline..you may end up wetsanding the whold boat to get rid of the outlines but theirs also a chance they will still be their...i know what you mean,im chancing ther look of my 336,,going to a more modern look..

thanks for the replies! i know it would be a pain, and i have thought about the "ghost graphics" afterwords. Maybe ill just live with it for a year or 2 before i go bigger again.

depending on what pattern it is it could be better for resale also, for now you could always do a vinyl over it change it up or change colors
